yeah it's funny... I'd played with one in a shop once, and didn't like it at all.. thought it was way too rough and an over the top kind of noise effect....  then a few months ago we had a jam at a friends party at his place, and he had one.. I ran my 303 and a few other things through it, and it just sounded awesome. wanted one ever since.

I sort of regret not getting the rackmount version with jacks in the front, for future modular possibilities, but don't like that one taking up 3u of rack space, so it's not too bad to have the desktop version.

great buy! i love mine. and yes it can make awfull noises but you can also use it way more subtile to give you sound more body if you have got the rack ears you can put it on top in you rack and since you can change the angle the in/outs are verry easy to re patch trie fooling around a bit like adsr out to ar in or have a split cable where the adsr in and ar in gets te same signal verry nice results!

just done! I'm having a read on their forums now.
looks like there's schematics there to be had if I can get everything properly identified

i did rack with 7 pres 2 years ago... here it is
http://mcirecording.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=18.0;attach=12;image

cool! what went in the right hand side of the rack? it looks full behind the metal airholes...

anyway - my channel strips showed up yesterday... knob position and button positions and LED positions are all looking the same as the ones in the photos of the racked ones I linked. I found an earlier message from my seller when he was looking to move some of these channels earlier in the year and he mentions they are Rev C, too.. so I suppose these are rev c.

the channels don't have master faders (not really a problem, as I have no use for them) or VCA modules (I was kinda hoping for some nice DBX VCAs to hack into my GSSL or something, but that was a bit of a wild hope!) and only one of them comes with a card bolted on called "monitor sub mod" which looks like it has a driving amp or something on it?? but the other doesn't.. my seller has said he'll send me another one of these cards if I need it for my racking project.. hard to tell yet.

the channels each have a little round transformer on the board (not sure what it is for??) and they each have a pair of other transformers (input and output??) packed up with them in bubble wrap.. no idea which of these is an input or output, or what the little on board one is though...

interesting times ahead!
:-)

Wow, Roginator your studio really is a beast. Is there anything you don't have yet?
He he, but now you have to get this to go with it though: www.antelopeaudio.com/en/products_iso_10m.html

I'm not sure your studio can be complete without an atomic clock. cool

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Ha ha, love the sales pitch:

"Isochrone 10M not only renders superb sound quality, but leaves a strong impression on your clients. An atomic clock in your gear rack speaks louder about your studio, your professionalism, and your commitment to quality than anything else. And, of course, with an early adoption of the atomic technology you will have a dramatic competitive advantage over conventional studios."

Mono you should rearrange the boxes a bit so it looks like one of the aliens from the Space Invaders arcade game.
