Topic: FS: Crumar Bit One

Selling our Bit One, it works and looks fine but it doesn't store patches internally (tape interface can be used).
Asking 180 EU + shipping from Rome (robot price).

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

one of the nicest sounding analogue polys in the budget range. kicks a junos ass.. someone buy this, please!

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

Yes, and it sounds better than a bit 99 because of the drifty oscillators.  I'd buy it if I had money.  big_smile

Indeed, the One sounds fatter and rougher than the 01 (or 99). I got both, selling it just because of space issues sad

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

this one has drifty dirty dco:s indeed, and needs love & attention. a new battery will probably fix the patch memory issue. great synth!

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

Lol dirty dco's.

The things which are different in a few  models are the filters:

CEM3328 VCF Late Models
SSM2044 VCF Early Models

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

mono-poly: no need to lol. this synth has really personal sounding oscillators. they sound crappy and a bit toy like. it even makes strange summing errors from time to time ect... all thease "features" make this one special.

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

I aint making fun of the Bit synths.
I think they are one off the best sounding cheap polysynths.
Not crappy sounding DCO"s at all well on the 2044 vcf model i did own.

Unfortunately it won't, the memory chip of the Bit One is faulty and gets fucked up after a few years of (ab)use, it's a documented factory problem. It probably can be replaced but I've never really dealt with this as loading/saving sound banks in an audio file thru the tape interface is nothing really complex after all smile

Re: FS: Crumar Bit One

my rack version only does this after its been off the power for a long time.. maybe switch on  your machine on a daily basis?
had 2 of the keyboard ones, and while they do sound a little better, both had other crazy issues in the end so i sold them. but my dcos never had any problems..
