Re: your last purchases of records
If I keep that policy than I can sell most of my collection. I could sell some yes but I just don't. Too attached and for what reason? I know it's crazy...

You know what I'm going to say eh? Great package again! I'm still looking for Ra-X - Stekker.
PS: you really want this, believe me: Retaliation, the track "Enough Is Enough" brakes teeth when played loud
Anyone of you got these Patrick Cowley Catholic record?
What's your opinion. Is it worth the purchase? Some of the snippets @clone remind me a bit on Brian Eno & David Byrne - My life in the bush of ghosts, which I like very much.
To buy or not to buy... that's my question.
"robot childeren" ist der hammer as you germans say
but the rest mm dunno what to think about it.. have to be in a good mood to like it, same as indoor life project , it doesn't come close to "my life in the bush of ghosts " though
it's still cheap so buy it
, same as indoor life project ,
indoor life is great

"Now that's a great way to spend all your money"
Hope that would justify..
I've been digging that early Ra-X stuff for maybe only a month or so and that guy really has some of the sickest tracks. They are ment to be played loud, definitely. "Ignore The Message" from Stekker drills into your brain with that wonderfully distorted kickdrum. The granny living below hopefully just ignores it.
Thanks for the tip by the way!
... brakes teeth when played loud ...
and empties rooms when played out..

heuh?! On what kind of crap party's do you play then? that track never fails
Congratz on Bainted Smile, I know you wanted that one badly hehe
Scarface wrote:If I keep that policy than I can sell most of my collection. I could sell some yes but I just don't. Too attached and for what reason? I know it's crazy...
i'm with you Scarface. i won't sell a record that i bought even if it's plain bullshit, i don't know why
then you either have few records, a big house, deep pockets are all three combined :-D
me I have limited budget and space so i only keep what i find good enough to keep. selling also finances new records :-)
it also feels nice to have a collection without fillers...as in: your taste is represented as a median of your best and worst records

don't get me started on dutch crowds as far as 'harsh' music is concerned, at least down here in the south the situation is miserable.. musically, maastricht is pure horror.
only place so far i was able to play that kind of stuff was at a small squatparty in Liege a couple of weeks ago. but that place was filled to the brim with crusties and other forms of dopefiends...

What did you expect? If you play stuff like that you won't have an audience of hot chicks, that's for sure Crusties or not, as long as it rocks. And besides, they are a good audience as they dance all night, that's all you need, no? There are quite a few party's like that here in Ghent so I don't complain but it will never be like 12 years ago.

i have about 1000 records at the moment, i dunno if it qualifies as "few" here
well i guess i was a bit harsh about "plain bullshit", lemme explain
sometimes i'd have a sneak preview of what i could buy and sometimes buy records "blind" (in case of "trusted" labels/bands it is blind, in case of coming across some new stuff or recommendation from the people around it's mostly previewed but sometimes blind too), anyway it's always music style/genre which i like.. not country & western or sirtaki or whatever
so if i don't like the record i bought for some reason, i won't sell it anyway... maybe one day i will get into it and thus could regret about parting with it
that's it...
