Digital Mixing Consoles

Has anyone here ever used or owned one? I really lack experience with digital mixers and I have been offered one (particularly Tascam TM-D8000, don't know how much to offer either), so I am wandering how are they in regards to sound and functionality (and also usability) in comparison to analog mixers?
