thought this would be of interest to some people in here.

this guy implemented a realtime DSP on the commodore 64, all hand written in the assembly language of the 6052 CPU that was part of the C64.

It truly is! I read about half of the pdf which contains a technical description of the software, and must say the guy has put a lot of effort into it. The demo is perhaps a bit misleading in the sense that the hardcore audio compression is designed to sound good only on speech / singing or some simple monophonic instrument track like a flute or violin. I think the demo kind of gives the impression that it's a universal audio processor. I would rather call it a vocoder.

Very impressive nonetheless!
