Topic: Maybe some should avoid x0x mods?

I think this thing has been on auction for what seems like 3 months, although realistically maybe two? Shame.....
I think if one were to mod, maybe possibly fit the stuff internally to a db25 connector and then out to a breakout box where it'd look a lot more discrete than those eyesore sub-mini toggles hanging out from everywhere.

Stand a much better chance of a resale I'd think....

Re: Maybe some should avoid x0x mods?

Those really belong in the ugly gear topic.  Fucking atrocious!  Those mods are really not all that either.  'Devilfish' overdrive?  C'mon now.

Re: Maybe some should avoid x0x mods?

devilfish mod approved by these fine gentlemen

It's not the just the one box. He's sold a bunch of them over the last few months.

Good on him then, if he is making sales.... I was honestly under the impression it was the same one.

mods still could be made much more tidy though........

Re: Maybe some should avoid x0x mods?

I have bought one of these things.
Urmm I'm not 100% sure all of these 'mods' work properly.
I just got it because I sold some gear and wanted to spend the money on a new synth before I spent it on food or something else stupid.
I have the red and black one which maybe doesn't look quite so bad ... but I think I'm going to move it on  hmm

Re: Maybe some should avoid x0x mods?

i used to see quite a few 707 moded in a same way, with extra buttons and patch points on the side..
looks like the trend is fading hopefully.
