It has it's moments, but imostly rather superficial and pointless. I enjoyed the ectomorph and aux88 bits the best. The analog synth fanboyism was highly amusing aswell.

ectomorph was full of crap...how can you call kraftwerk proto-electro yet reference Sharivari, a song which is almost a synthpop pastiche?

Same old USA perspective on electro (funk)  roll

anyways for the european sound fans: http://vimeo.com/9501102

I think it was all called techno or technopop back then. Planet rock or Egyptian Lover doesn't sound like technopop to me.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Anybody have a DL link for "Speaking in Code" ?

Definitely a rough watch. I found myself wanting to skip through some of the performances but also found the experimental synth stuff really interesting. A lot of the stuff I wouldn't necessarily call music but something like a really raw form of expression. I can't remember where I found the original dl link but I'd up it if anyone were interested.
