Thing which ruins alot of them for me is really. really awful ballads throughout. If anime and good music should ever join forces i'd probably watch them religiously, however bizarre.
I liked that movie, Zora. It's very strange and I guess hard to sit through (and also confusing as hell!) but I enjoyed it. After reading a synopsis I watched it again and understood more. I'm not saying that you didn't like it because you didn't understand it, though... just wanted to make a point that Mind Game is not a good indicator of an "anime movie." It's just a bizarre film! Check out Satoshi Kon or Miyazaki if you haven't yet.

I find the term anime misleading anyway, because its become a branding for movies with stupid pokemon-style characters and teenies spending their free time dressing up in ridicoulous customs.
It's japanese animation movies, and the only thing they have in common is that they are from japan mkay?
@sham one of my favourites is cowboy bebop, both great music and anime
watching this, funnier than i thought

i dont like to desperately try to just sit through movies and have to admit i left after the 1st 30 minutes or so. just left after the guy went up to heaven and met that changing creature (god?). so yes, i probably left when the movie was just about to really start. dunno if there was much to not understand till then and also dont think that was my problem with the movie. was the first anime ive ever watched, btw, and i basically just didnt like the style. there are probably others that i would like better, but by now i dont really feel the need to watch another anime anytime soon.
Such a great movie.
Enter the Void
Saw it las night. Beautifully done. I like how the movie becomes more and more abstract.
