goblin and turzi.. *drool!*

Re: [Berlin] 19.03. - Goblin, Maiovvi & others

I will also be playing frippatronics and synth in The Night Terrors with Milo of Chrome Hoof / Kruton / Binary Chaffinch

Will be a great show I assure you. First DJ set will be all prog and krautrock before Goblin. 2nd DJ Set will be total Italo Horror.

Please come down, they be workin' me like a dawg, yo. smile

Good to see Warm Digits representing The Toon... well worth getting there early for.

Re: [Berlin] 19.03. - Goblin, Maiovvi & others

I'm not sure there is a proper definition of Italo Horror yet. Basically disco that reminds me of Italian Horror soundtracks. That kind of stuff.

I mean how can I let an evening with Goblin go past and not play Crazy Gang?

ah ok, I can imagine italian soundtracks but playing cheap euro disco on a kraut night will probably get you killed wink

yeah the promoters said a similar thing, but honestly I always felt there was lots of crossover between the two genres.

but I should fear being smothered by beards.

Re: [Berlin] 19.03. - Goblin, Maiovvi & others

I guess people mistake Italo with a lot of things wink

Its not really mistaking:
Pascal Languirand made these amazing ambient synth albums before Trans X.
There are lots of 80s Tangerine Dream stuff that fit well into a disco set.
Conrad Schnitzler did some disco esque stuff.
Simonetti -> Crazy Gang / Capricorn and lest we forget Goblin's Tenebrae soundtrack.
Kraftwerk?!
The last track on God Save the Queen/Under Heavy Manners by Robert Fripp is a long disco beat / frippatronic workout.
Heldon?!

So in short: I'm taking your advice. I'll try not to get killed wink

the whole night was multitrack recorded. I'll chase that up. Really want a copy of Terzi's set.
