Watched Begotten about a month ago, when I was totally stoned. Wouldn't recommend that...
so did I
That's definitely the weirdest film I've seen. I mean 7th level weird. It did put me on Din of Celestial Birds though, which I kinda like.
I've been sick in bed, so...
(I also watched the new version of) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
I love me some espionage thrillers me, this was ok, I mean, it was engaging, it was that right amount of "enough happening" to "space for an actual plot". But it wasn't great. It was just good.
Ides Of March
Yeah, it was just a little "TV movie" for my tastes, really it was about greed and ambition but there wasn't enough happening in the plot to make it deep. In fact, not much happened, it was all directionless muted acting, with some standard hollywood morality scenes. Entertaining enough. Not great.
Hot Rod
Pastiche of 80s underdog sports movies, with Lovejoy and The Lonely Island people in it from 2007. This was pretty funny, stupid yes, but a GREAT lying in bed because I feel like shit film.
The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret. episode 1 season 2 is a return to form for the clueless salesman getting wound up in the biggest conspiracy known to man completely by accident. season 1 is up on youtube, check it out.
i liked this
....Classic. Heavy weight cast with heavy weight dialogue and put-downs.
Little Dieter Needs to Fly
This guy is like the real life version of Forest Gump or something...A pretty amazing story of survival. Herzog based his film Rescue Dawn on this true story. You can watch the film on youtube as well.
There's been near enough nothing on at the cinema of late, so went to see this:
The Lady
One of these films that you don't want to be too harsh with because it attempts, at least, to tell the story of a living person who represents a noble cause. However this film on Aung San Suu Kyi struggling with a fiercely oppressive Burmese regime is a bit lame. Which is a pity because it is story worth telling...
I liked Perfect Sense a lot
subway : great french movie from 1983
enter the void : fucking great! watch it!
No Blade of Grass
Poorly acted, bit jumpy, but not without merit.
Runs like a 70s episode of Doctor Who, constantly waiting for a Silurian or somesuch to hope out.
2.5 hrs of complete crap. this is a film made by a 15year old with violent dreams of pussy, but he is a pussy himself. otherwise a good premise for a film but mixed with the french dominant male /whore female attitude, the result is pure boredom.
yeah that one again, i think its a very special film, maybe the best i saw this year, and it has bryan cranston and ron perlman
musix rocks too
edit and yeah very very violent
Very good movie yes. Music is by Kavinski. Bought record "1986" of him like a year ago.
