Topic: Going cruisin'....

Just came back from boatcruise of eleven days. The trip was:

Amsterdam > Hamburg > Kopenhagen > Oslo > Edinburgh > Le Havre (also Rouen) > Harwhich (also St. Edmundsbury and Cambridge)  > Amsterdam

It was on a very big (14 stores) cruiseship holding about 3000 people and.... by an Italian organisation which added much joy to the trip: Italian music, theatre, people, food etc. big_smile

Recommended way of traveling I'd say (but that may be just my opinion). It was my first time. Any of you who went cruisin' before?

Oh, and this song played in my head sometimes:

"Cruisin" is used in a different sense here though. smile

Re: Going cruisin'....

If you had that song in your head, you absolutely must have had a great time!

Re: Going cruisin'....

Yes, it was. When in Cambridge the sleeve of this CD popped up in my head. Inevitable association for westcoast-electro-robot. smile

Re: Going cruisin'....

with 3000 people on a boat sounds like my definition of horror smile . Last time I did that was when I went from italy to greece with a fare. Duh, never again hopefully!

Re: Going cruisin'....

During breakfast it was sometimes hard to find (or should I say rare ;-) a table+chair but then again if you don't let it get to you it's alright. It wasn't annoying for me at least. It's also because of these people that the cruise was very affordable. Until I am a multimiljonair who can afford his own private ship I'll have to do it like this. wink "Elke voordeel heb z'n nadeel." (Every advantage his it's disadvantage). When you want complain you'll always find something....

Here's a commercial impression of the boat I was with:
