I'ts just recently that I got into them.
Check out Victory under the sun if you haven't yet (or don't know the band), it's some of the most inspiring stuff I 've seen in my life.

I actually just booked LAIBACH for my festival:

playing on SUNDAY SEPT 16th!
I wish I saw their performance at the Tate Modern. I bet it was great.
i love just this one song:

for me the rest of their catalog is only ok, but I always like their cover artwork.
To me, Laibach represents most of the stuff I don't like about the genre of electronic music.
I have listened tothat kind of stuff for 25 years and I do like or have liked a lot of similar stuff, but never Laibach.
They put a lot of work into developing their concept (whatever it is?), of which the music is just a small part.
But in my opinion they put too much effort into their visual side, trying to be cool or whatever and still don't attract me.
And more important, their music has never got me interested.
I just get bored.
Sorry for being such a tired old fart but I just don't get what's so special about them
well, I have to admit that I tend to agree with you. Akropola is the only one that I like (from the albums I've heard). They also have some nice tracks on compilations like Q.E.D. and Vhutemas Archetypi. One or two Laibach songs on a compilation can be really nice, listening to a whole album is a bit more difficult but I have that with a lot of industrial bands.
And they made the music for the movie Iron Sky !
which was pretty disappointing imo.
y'all a bunch of haters :-)
LEBEN IST LEBEN is a classic, their old stuff is awesome as well!
@ vincentkoreman
"LEBEN IST LEBEN is a classic,..."
-> at least it is much better than the austrian "gassenhauer" by opus. but for me THE track of the opus dei album is "geburt einer nation". the laibach "concept" works pretty good with that one.
probably the worst cover version they ever did is "alle gegen alle". the original by daf is one of the most powerful tracks they ever did. but somehow laibach managed to ruin the whole track.
back in the days laibach must have been really impressive live on stage. only saw them once live in 2003... so much too late.
