Re: your last purchases of records

@hysteric

Saw that Sylve ranking high in your Hi-NRG & Euro-disco list but haven't checked it out to be honest. Congrats on finding this seemingly rare record!

Speaking of Hi-NRG records....Went hunting for a record I heard in your Obscure Aerobix mix @13m48s By listening to the lyrics and checking your Hi-NRG list on discogs I thought it was this record Laura Pallas - In The Night. But after buying and playing at home it turned out to be another still o.k. track but not the track I heard in your mix!   hmm   So now I'm asking what I should have done before ordering: what's that track @13m48s in your aerobic-mix please?

Besides buying Laura Pallas - In The Night (Solo) also bought:
Girltalk - Can The Rhythm (Innervision)
Dennis Parker - Like An Eagles/New York By Night 12" (Casablanca)
It & My Computer - Eat My Computer (Planete Invasion): after wanting for a long time
Frank Duval - Living Like A Cry LP (TELDEC)

Thanks guys big_smile
Actually when the package arrived it was soaked in oil (???) and had been opened by customs  yikes
Luckily the contents were ok, but I freaked out a little

If my girl ever finds out how much I spent on records in the past two years, she WILL kill me!
If it means anything I actually listen to these records a lot, not just for collecting dust.

Terrez is great but a little out of my reach (also no picture sleeve)

I updated the topic >> http://www.robotsforrobots.net/viewtopi … 48#p174648
the record you're after is The Only - "Love Dies in the Night" (Laura Pallas is pretty good record anyway)

I've been listening to this guy for years and years, wacky vocals and evil themes to EBM/electro-industrial technos with psytrance and gothy influences can always be entertaining to me.  tongue

Re: your last purchases of records

I paid 60 euros, seems to go for between 40-100. I just got bored of waiting, I guess I can offset the cash against other records I bought much cheaper than market price. (at least that's what I tell myself  big_smile ) both sides are amazing tracks though and a good loud pressing, which is apparently better quality than the 12" according to overfitting blog.

Re: your last purchases of records

60euro is a reasonable price seeing the prices on the net now and then. And yes I know that feeling of lurking until a good deal comes along all to well... And then there comes that moment of "biting the bullit" as Hysteric put it  here above when bought that Sylve-record. We can't wait forever now can we? smile Enjoy that Adolf Stern! Amazing tracks (a & b-side) indeed.

Great one, still want it too. Sounds awesome played loud in a club.
Doppia Facchia is very good also (the b-side)

more impulsive record buying on discogs past few weeks, mostly longtime wants:

Lily Ann - Going Crazy (not sure when this got so hard to find?)
Geneva Jacuzzi - Lamaze
Guido E Maurizio De Angelis - Avventura All'Italiana
Alessandro Alessandroni And Nora Orlandi - Music For Strange Situations CD
Scarlet Architect - Scarlet Architect
Synthi & Gert - Sister Susie's Synthesizer

ok time for a break wink

That's a friggin' brilliant record! Did you have to dig deep in the wallet if I may ask?

Haven't been updating this in ages, but I grabbed these today from flea market so I'll give it a go:

Patrick Cowley - Mind Warp LP
Paul Hardcastle & First Light - Daybreak LP
Paul Hardcastle - Paul Hardcastle LP
Spliff - 85555 LP
Stardiver - Someday 12" (Early Burger / Voigt / Andreas Bolz project. A nice find.)

You were just a damn sequencer
Moving to the beat
Living with a synthesizer
Cold as a repeat
