of course, the music isn't even mandatory
We had discussions over this before but if you ask me: Miko Mission - How Old Are You. It's a personal question.
Den Harrow - Mad Desire
G. Race - I am on Fire
I am on Fire
which is a direct effect from Sabrina so my point stands.
What about "Mad Desire"for Sabrina then, Ray?
Brian Martin - Sex Tonight (could it be another inspiration of Sabrina)
It is proven once again: at the end of the day, Sabrina beats them all
Hm, difficult, maybe Mr. Flagio or M&G...?
I think the difficulty with your question Zeha is that italo disco isn't a song but a style of music. The style represents more than one song so you should listen more than one song to get familiar with it. Even if you listen to Sabrina you don't get the full picture of italo disco.
I'm kinda new to Italo. Does anyone have recommendations as to what artists/albums I should start with? Or a compilation with a range of artists?
I thought I'd ask in this thread as it seemed appropriate Cheers!

I'd say check this comp:

^^ and also the disco diamonds label as mentioned near the top of the page
Thanks guys
I'm with Klart on this one. The I-robots is as good of a start as you can get!
Hmmm.....too much instrumental versions on I-Robots if you ask me and more the electro-ish side of italo. But if that's what you like: it's o.k. ofcourse.
I'd say The Disco Diamond collection. But italo has many faces so you also have to find out for yourself which side suits you best. Listening to mixes can also be a very nice first experience as an introduction. I mean look what happened after Mixed Up In The Hague which isn't even very italo but just bits of everything.
One of the first times I heard italo was this mix and it's still on top of my list:

Mixes have the advantage that they often contain the best of the best.
B.t.w. after hearing this mix I think Brand Image - Are You Loving would also be perfect as first italotrack to play for someone.
And who doesn't like this italo disco song? Perfect introduction i.m.o.

You should check Flemming Dalum mixes. This is a good way to discover different styles in italo.
