Been playing this record almost since the day it was released http://www.discogs.com/Keen-K--Dorian-E … se/433034.
What surprised me though is the fact that I was playing the record on 33 rpm
not on 45 rpm, as it is supposed to be.
Of course I just realised that a while ago but somehow the 45 rpm
sounds a bit weird to me, probably since I got used to the 33 rpm "version".
I guess you have all encountered a similar situation, no?
That is the beauty of vinyl - you decide whether the track should be played faster or slower. So it's always worth to experiment to find your own version. On the other hand, there are many songs that can be played on 45 rpm or 33 rpm and they sound great in both versions 
A Guilded Eternity by Loop sounds much better on 33. To the point where I think it is an awful album at the correct speed.

These tracks sound much more hypnotic on 33RPM but thought quite a while it was supposed to be like that. Because of that I still like them a bit more on 33RPM.

didn't do much to me when played at 45 but when I played it at 33 I liked it a lot
These Kurzweller LP's sound great both on 33 and 45 (this label: http://www.discogs.com/label/Kurzwellen+%282%29)
And I mostly play Unit Moebius - Zipper on 45rpm, the bassline is more grungy then.
As the legend goes, New Beat was 'invented' by playing Flesh by A Split Second at 33rpm

What is also striking about the specific record I mentioned before , is the fact that all four tracks have vocals which do not seem to be distorted, when played in different rpm's, at least to my ears and taste.
