Re: R.i.p.

Too damn early for Pete to go - he will be missed.

However a man with such a huge discography will be around forever.

I guess it's time to really start going through the FAX stuff.

Re: R.i.p.

Sad, that's quite a legend to go.

Honey, in the morning the bees are singing and the birds are stinging in an open head surgery.

Re: R.i.p.

I'm shocked. I have been a collector of the FAX stuff since a very, very long time. This is a sad, sad day in Ambient history  sad

"A Real Music Hater"

Re: R.i.p.

yeah, a true legend, consistent over many years and true to himself and the music.
A reminder to not spend any day wasting time, it is limited. It seems to me like Pete never wasted a minute not making music.

Re: R.i.p.

I ordered the last Fax release directly from Pete just a couple of days before he died, the last thing he mailed me about was that there was a new Sultan release coming up, he was very excited about that as he always had a soft spot for eastern influenced music. It's really an unsettling thought knowing now that he died just days later  sad
He was a very prolific producer indeed and yet there is very little bad music to be found in the Fax catalogue, he really had good taste. Fax existed exactly 20 years in 2012 but the music will be forever.

"A Real Music Hater"

Re: R.i.p.

all the street lights in Frankfurt went out at 18:10 tonight. A coincidental but fitting tribute.

Re: R.i.p.

RIP Pete. Your music will last an eternity. A true legend. Sad to see him go at that age.

This is amazing indeed.

RIP Namlook. Regrettably only knew of him through the Hawtin affiliation but will be learning and digging through this master of Ambient's incredible catalog he leaves behind.
