Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

Why is it so often that I listen to a mix and I discover a cool song and then when I finally find that song somewhere, I don't like the song on its own and prefer to listen to the mix again?

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

niec question ZeHa, I call this type of tracks 'dj friendly' smile  smile

vintage future

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

This has happened many times to me too.

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

Cause the DJ played the best part of the song and mixed into another song before it gets boring.

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

For me personally, it has been more often the case that also the transition from the previous song to the actual song is much greater than the original intro wink

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

I can certainly can get a kick out of transitions in a mix(when done brilliantly) over the original intro/outro.

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

It's not only the transitions or playing a certain part of a song. The whole atmosphere and feel of the track are heavily influenced by what came before or comes after. It's the sum of it's parts that make the mix come alive, and when you play a track by itself, it lacks the power of the well thought-out sequence of tracks.

Swedians perhaps.

Re: Random questions you are asking yourself...

Ha I don't know, it's mainly when he says

"It's not like Mardi Gras, more like a passion"

and the lines after that.

Sounds very much like an Indian man speaking English to me.
