Finding the part of Miquel Brown - So Many Men, So Little Time starting at 5m25s (click youtube-link) sooooo sweet. So many disco records, so many sweet moments....tell me yours!

"Are you loving?"

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

O.k. I'll start. smile The intro but actually the whole song.

Only knew this from the album Unexpected Lovers (which is bit less heavy on the beat) but only could find this long version.

"Are you loving?"

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

breakdown at 2:51 and then that epic build-up

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

Not sure if I use the same definition for 'sweet', but the next songs have parts that I really like. I don't mean that I don't like the songs in total, but these parts just really add something extra in my opnion.

Rudy - Just take my Body, The break that starts at 2:44 is so good.

Another Sweet part:
Viola Wills - If You Could Read My Mind:
The instrumental part starting at 7:48, it's really good I think.

Harlow - Take Off
Great part at 6:26

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

@Narcisco

That's what I meant yes. Sweet intro's, melodies, bassline, b-parts or other parts whatever.

This song from about 0:45 until the girls start to sing just oozes discoglitterballs. smile

Next favourite
Baccara - Gimme More
Actually the whole song through, the strings are really good I think.

The Japanese 7" I told you about sounds superb!

The part that starts at around 8:35 rocks:

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

Hazell Dean - Searching (Extended version)
The break at 4:17 resulting in 4:46 and so on

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
All of my base,
Are belong to you.

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

sweet disco moments for me are the sweet moments you shared with someone when a particular song was playing.

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

interesting topic
for me these sweet moments always sound best on tracks that are otherwise just "ok" or too dated/cheesy/etc

when the beat first kicks in @ 26 seconds

cool

also this older one:

everything except the chorus, but especially the break at 2:20 (sampled a few times)

I can get along with that! Also the gayest discorecords often have these moments in them like this one on 3m20s:

The intro and guitar/violin (and guitar/violinbreaks) on this wellknown sweet disco song:

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

Martin Circus - Disco Circus ( the famous break after 8 minutes )

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

The sweet part between 0:24 and 0:42
Just bought it for that part long time ago. Now I pretty much like the whole song, but that part is still the reason to play it. I adore it.
One that should get a re-edit based only on that part..

Real gold cannot be seen or even touched, it has to be listened & felt with the heart..

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

This one @3m38s you can compare with the sweet moment in So Many Men So Little Time. They're actually a sweet melodic interval. I like that somehow.

"Are you loving?"

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

Sweet sounding voice and I like the variation on the slow and fast parts:

"Are you loving?"

Just learned that this song is already from 1973 and even sweeter:

"Are you loving?"

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

Been a while...but here's another:

The sweet part that starts around 6m44s

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

The end of the epic Cosmic Curves LP

"Are you loving?"

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

The part with "I'll try again next year, next year"

"Are you loving?"

Re: ***Sweetest disco moments***

The synth solo of this famous song:

The solo starts at 1:22, and 10 seconds later it gets even sweeter with a second synth line on top! This sounds sooo great (and it also reminds me a lot of the C64 game "Lazy Jones" big_smile ). Still, I recommend listening to the song in a whole smile it's even nicer that way smile
