First up in our new series of magic podcasts is this brand new and totally hard-rocking mix of synthed-up slammers, jackers and bangers from Denmark's finest, Flemming Dalum.

Flemming also served up the debut release on the Magic Waves label with his 3-CD 'Boogie Down Box-Set' years ago, already the stuff of Magic folklore along with his numerous guest appearances for the radio show on IFM and remix action for the gang over the years, and so he was a natural choice to kick proceedings off with. Legendary UK synth pioneer with a 1979 debut solo LP on cult German label Blubber Lips, former original member of electronic postpunk band Naked Lunch. Producer and broadcaster on the mighty Intergalactic FM, the man behind and responsible for the label Flight Recorder and representing Magic Waves Newcastle.

This is all vinyl apart from one track. It's a bit of a time travel mix, you can spot the era sections in it.

Leipzig's latest Wave enthusiast - Kilian Krings

Krings started his DJ career in Stuttgart back in the year 2011 with his own parties and a residency in the city's most famous club - Rocker 33. It was also in Stuttgart where he dicovered the passion for black gold (vinyl)! Buying his first record in the record store Pauls Musique, he met Mick Wills, who was totally unknown to him at the time. Soon afterwards he received demo mix No. 16 from Mick's legendary mix tape series. In that moment he developed an intense passion for italo disco, new wave and industrial.

After moving to Leipzig Kilian continued doing parties with some friends under the flag 'Our Thang' and co-founded 'Sign Bit Zero', which first started in the usual D.I.Y. approach. Sign Bit Zero is now established as a label and the first record features two edits from Mick Wills. Kilian is our Leipzig connection doing Magic Waves parties and has invited our crew to play at various events there. Watch out for more parties and records in the near future!
