Topic: Samplezzzz

Ok,
since there was no general thread for this yet (surprisingly?) thought that be a cool idea. Post your favorite samplepacks or sounds from the webs.
I start with a samplepack from the game f.e.a.r., released  like 15 years ago. Amazing and crystal clear sound design with an industrial atmosphere to it! very good sfx, ambient and general weird futuristic sounds in there.

Re: Samplezzzz

Thanks, interesting topic.

Should we post only freeware packs here?

Re: Samplezzzz

Here's some samples of my modified tr-606. I use them a lot when I don't record it straight. Some of my favorite snares.  cool

Re: Samplezzzz

Someone posted some years ago, here on rfr... two packs named "The Machine" they were tons of drumkits from different analog drum machines...anyone has any idea where they might be?

Re: Samplezzzz

Digging in my memory I remembered this Romanian legend delivering the best samples everrr
http://www.freewebs.com/dorumalaia/superdrums8000.htm
He was famous back in the drum and bass days for this excellent and unusual samples. Check also his substitute´s for a snare pack. Can´t believe the site is still online, he died in 2006.

Re: Samplezzzz

I did try one, i thought it was pretty cool. I had Rhythm Wolf for a bit, and liked it despite it's flaws. They both are built pretty solid, and the interface is fun. The disco toms on the tom cat seem really ideal, but I have too many drum machines. wink

A friend of mine back in Minneapolis has one, and it seems to serve him well.

Re: Samplezzzz

Thanks Bankie, although wrong thread wink Yeah was already thinking for a while that those two where undiscovered marvels. Prefer the bigger and sturdier box to a Volca or MFB anytime!
