Topic: Soundcloud Pro for mixes, worth it?

Ola!

Anyone have experience with Soundcloud PRO for uploading dj mixes? I'm wondering if it is worth doing. I've read some articles about copyright issues but I'm not sure if thats an issue for 'IFM' kinda music?

cheers

i read that soundcloud take off or block dj mixes. i think that's why many opened a Mixcloud account recently.

I like it. Have been using it for years now.

It shouldn't be an issue, really. Only artists that are connected to the 'majors' (Sony, EMI, Warner etc) will sometimes give you trouble. But in my experience only if you start a mix with a 'copyright protected' track.

In over 20 mixes I only had trouble with Kraftwerk and with Cerrone, both times the mix started with an un-edited version of one of their tracks. Never had issues when a track was mixed in and out somewhere else in the mix.
