Re: 2017 highlights....

I tend to have a goldfish memory when it comes to chronological dates, so below are some stuff
that I have been listening to a lot, but that's not necessarily "discovered" or released in 2017.

Had heard Panda Bear long before, but this this track / album was new to me.

Had heard, but didn't know what track it was. so a big 2017 yes! when i found it.

Kourosh Yaghmaei

A lot of "country" in 2017, Marty Robbins, Kitty Wells, J.T. Adams & The Men From Texas:

The more "IFM/ R4R stuff" would be:

Peder Mannerfelt:

Huerco S:
https://soundcloud.com/huerco_s
Bergsonist:
https://soundcloud.com/bergsonist
Right now i really like the track Deep Core Lfo by Fantomas, keep it up!

Series - Stranger Things.
Books: Kurt Vonnegut - Slaughterhouse-Five
Erich Maria Remarque - All Quiet on the Western Front
and Charles Bukowski...

Amsterdam-based duo Wanderwelle return to Silent Season for their debut album which is inspired by the mysterious pagan tribes that once roamed across the European woodlands. Lost in a Sea of Trees tells the tale of a lone traveller who enters a dark, ancient forest. Lured deep into the woods by something not of this world as he enters uncharted grounds. Step by step his journey is getting darker as he encounters strange phenomena and beings among the trees.

I've come back this a lot, the concept, the story, the artwork...it really and truly is like like getting lost in an enchanted forest.

Yeah... thats a nice one indeed, really sorry it was not released on my format of choice.. Somehow dubtechno and forrests really work well together.. This was the dub techno cd I played most this year, also with a forrest theme: Nemo & Jaymon - Wanderings

Super nice,...enjoying that on this cold and foggy day, always adds some mysterious atmosphere to things.
