Re: Starborough's Bruk Back Mountain Mix

Yes nice mate, I was all over this shit back then...I always like how some of it strayed into techno territory as well.

Re: Starborough's Bruk Back Mountain Mix

Thanks, Dumbbot! Yeah that bruk techno cross over is really nice indeed. Seen quite a few of those London dudes deejay too, Marc Mac, Dego, Seji, Domu, etc, and most say they always drop a few 313 records in their sets too, Jupiter Jazz, breaky Carl Craig tracks, stuff like that.

I am really into Ian O'Brien's first three albums lately, perfect techno jazz explorations.. Also Kirk Degiorgio did a lot of that kinda thing.. I tried to give this a mix a bit of that flavour too (the Nubian Mindz remix of P'Taah, the Off World Ensemble track), but maybe the techno jazz sound deserves its own mix.. after all, "jazz is the teacher"!

I wantlisted those two Soma recommendations, sounds like my kinda thing indeed.. The Nubian Mindz albums have been in my wantlist for ages, but they don't come by too often unfortunately.

Please keep dropping more techno jazz break tips if you like, its always nice to discover new stuff!!
