speaking of cronenberg i just re-watched scanners yesterday.
i love it , altho its hard to not laugh when try to act out a mindcontrol fight.
Videodrome is one of the worst cronenberg movies for me also. Basically like i said, dead ringers is a good amount above it, but not great. Existenz is ok, but somehow it just seems like a joke on some future VR scenario. A bit like the dungeons and dragons film was a joke on the whole d and d franchise. The best cronenberg movie, and the only which i can watch many times during a year is the brood.
the brood is my favourite cronenberg so far, still haven't seen videodrome yet tho. scanners is f**king savage too:

just watched the first two episodes of the first season of 24. Diggin it so far, I think Ive found a new tv show for some serious marathons, theyre up to like season 6 or something now. off work tomorrow. be up late. 24!
I watched Coach Carter last night with Samuel L. Jackson (he was in the film and not watching it, with me in in my lounge) and was expecting quite a wishy washy film but was pleasantly suprised. The same old cliche 'study hard and make something of your life' story but I felt was told rather well and is supposed to be a true story of the coach Ken Carter.

That's my Favourite Jim Jarmusch movie! I don't quite know why, though... 
I finally bought Bladerunner (Director's Cut) and will watch that movie for the first time. :S
just saw a star trek i hadn't seen in a while...the one with space hippies trying to find the planet eden...i like when the hippies are on the enterprise singing some dippy song and the crew are dancing while looking really serious and hipster...they even get spock to play some vulcan harp type thing...then they find "eden" and all the plants are made of acid...yay...die space hippies

Emmanuelle is such a fox. It's a good movie. grace jones' "libertango" keeps popping up
by the way she gets her jabs out in Bitter Moon (also by Polanski). Brilliant Vangelis soundtrack in that movie too

I watched Casino Royale for the first the other evening, the one with nu-bond Daniel Craig. On BluRay the film looked truly amazing but the story kinda sucked hard 1/3 in with most of the film revolving around a game of cards and Bond getting his privates wacked by the villain. Quite dire.
Bring back Roger Moore.
