Topic: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

Inspired by the Godspill<=>Godspell-thread I'm starting this thread to post the recordsleeves (or label artwork) you encounter which clearly have "quoted" from someone else. I always find that funny to see/look at.

For starters:

Digital Emotion - Digital Emotion

I think people got the general idea without calling the title like that. "Edit" could be more accurate...

"Inspire" is meant a bit  tongue-in-cheek cause where does lending from other artwork end stealing begin? I don't want to step on any (re)creators toes, you see?

"Copycats" to me, is a also good description for people who do this kind of thing. They come in all sorts of nationalities, also in Dutch.

Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

It surely takes some serious studying to be a good copycat on that I agree.

I noticed that Russians are very well at putting/compiling a lot of disco on CD "unofficially" such as on this label.

Well yeah, avoiding copyrights is what the Russians are infamous for... Do copyrights even exist over there?

@technicolor
New Order - Movement was one of my first records. Amazing to see the original coverart!

Here they call them album cover parodies There's a whole lot of them in alphabetical order.

A robotic selection of those:

Kraftwerk - Man Machine
New Order - Blue Monday
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
Depeche Mode - New Life
