Re: tracks that never gets old

Hard to say about a particular track as music is a selfrenewing phenomenon that goes back to beginning of mankind. For instance: I can imagine that cavemen already danced to somekinda "tribal house" although it wasn't invented yet, you see?
I think that every track gets old when a next generation doesn't pick it up, though.

Michael Jackson - Thriller

Re: tracks that never gets old

Joy Division`s music - sounds always kinda fresh to me. Also The Smiths`tracks rocks me if I hear it on the radio (esp. How Soon Is Now or There`s a Light That Never Goes Out or Big Mouth Strikes Again) - but it`s all indie pop/rock music.

electronic music - Liaisons Dangereuses` Los Ninos Del Parque is a timeless classic or Human League`s  Being Boiled.

seals and crofts - summer breeze
bfc - galaxy
theo parrish - heal yourself and move

Re: tracks that never gets old

Maybe this?

Not my personal fave. That's New Order - Blue Monday I think. I still get a buzz from that track.

That whole grunge and MTV generation thing makes me feel sick. Nothing but bad memories.

Re: tracks that never gets old

David Bowie

Especially the tracks "Drive In Saturday" & "Station To Station"

Music is a beautiful opiate, if you don't take it too seriously.

i think mtv was part of the reason he killed himself. hahaha

GREETZ!

Re: tracks that never gets old

the only one that came to my mind, as really timeless music, not music from the eighties that is still listenable today is erik satie, is gnossiennes or the gymnopedies are the most contemporary pieces for piano you can listen, even compared to arvo part or philip glass

Actually the Kid Baltan song was created by Dick Raaijmakers in the Natlab studios from Philips in HOLLAND. He did that together with Tom Disselt, by recording sounds, cutting tapes, re-recording, etc.. See for yourself:

This record is "considered" the first electronic record, but I don't know if this is really accurate. Anyway, what's for sure is that it was pressed and forbidden to sell!! So Philips gave the pressed records away to some of there good clients. This is how those great pieces got into some collection afterwards. But, if we consider the way it was donated I think that lots of these are taking dust on the attic of people who are totally ignorant about that music and it's historical importance..

Those guys were the true Pioneers of what we love so much since years..

Real gold cannot be seen or even touched, it has to be listened & felt with the heart..
