@mekonin:

no no, the yugo rocked in its own way.. like the ladas, trabants and skodas of the past, they were an interesting and cheap alternative for western cars.. these days, its almost impossible to tell one car from another.. at least you could spot a yugo a mile away.. big_smile

i'm currently diggin' for that movie, i only know it
from decades ago, it as amazing!

maybe the best "horror" (sci-thriller) movie i've ever seen
besides 2 or 3 others..

westworld is great too, the others i don't know..

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, -life- has surface noise..." [John Peel]

yeah i agree, yugo carries a certain charm with it

i have a lot of bad memories of yugo though, i was driving one in my driving school smile

and all those communist cars were almost obligatory, they were cheap but of poor quality and looks. although you can always expect of Lada to ignite, even if it's 40 degrees below zero

RIP Oliver Postgate sad

Creator of:

Ivor The Engine
The Clangers
Noggin The Nog
and most of all Bagpuss, with a story at the end that's still capable of making me shed a wee tear...

"And when Bagpuss was asleep,
All his friends were asleep.
The mice were ornaments on the mouse organ.
Gabriel and Madeleine were just dolls.
Professor Yaffle was just an old wooden bookend in the shape of a woodpecker.
Even Bagpuss himself, once he was asleep, was just an old, saggy cloth cat,
Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams,
But Emily loved him"

Genius.
