and how silly to make it a standalone program.. this would have so much more use integrted in an environment like cubase, sonar, live, or logic..
SEQ-303 is very good and old.
It should be free since it's not available anymore from the makers. Otherwise download a crack.
Check the screen dump, with the lights in the middle you can also make loops with stop and end points.
This program syncs perfectly with any midi sequencer.

ouch that sucks I thought it was at least possible to sync it with other sequencers...

yes I remember seq303 it's good indeed, used a lot some years ago...but I don't remember if it can sequence ext midi gear I have to check
seq 303 does MIDI out.
It doesn't sync to other sequencers, but I think all instances of all technotoys products running on your computer will sync together....
but the whole point is that you have to get out of your standard sequencer. it would be nice to have something like this as some kind of vst-type plugin..

You can export the sequences very quickly and easy and import them in your favorite sequencer.
You can for sure sync seq-303 with another sequencer!
I did it with Rebirth and Cakewalk back then.
