Topic: Jupiter 4 problem
so...
there's a Jupiter 4 on sale near my place and it's kinda cheap because it has this problem:
one of the voices seems to be tuned an octave lower than the others.
I can't find any info about it so if you know anything about this issue tell me about it please...

Re: Jupiter 4 problem
Probably just needs a calibration. If they've really cut the price down to something you can afford then you should fire it up.

Re: Jupiter 4 problem
yeah, buy it.. if its exactly one octave lower, its even usable as it is.. could also be something as simple as a bad contact between the octave select knob and the vco in question. weird problem.. ive heard of detuned or false osc's., but never exactly 1 octave lower..

Re: Jupiter 4 problem
you should buy it if it's cheap, get it tuned by a tech, most Jupiter 4 need that nowadays anyways, then don't move it!

Re: Jupiter 4 problem
one octave lower (exactly??!?!) is a weird one.
from memory, I don't think octave select controls go to the voice cards... just the overall pitch CV.
but yeah.. whatever the problem is, that's totally fixable.
get it! get it! get it! get it!!

@computerdisco:
thanks! I have to save this picture

@ computerdisco, lol!
What's that switch next to the joystick?
I'm sure it'll start a retarded thread at kvr, like this one :
