How's the sound quality and overall artwork on this release?  I'm thinking about picking it up but I'd really like to know how it sounds first...

Soundquality is really good! Artwork is rough compared to the original I think. The label is just grey and not the shiny silvergrey of an original Ariola-label. Also the sleeve is not as shiny and colorful as the original but much more obtuse (= not shiny). By looking ar label+sleeve you can really see it's a copy not soundwise so that's why I'm happy with it.

Thanks for the info Scarface wink  I figured the artwork was a bit rough, but I'm much more concerned about the sound.  Now just have to decide if I REALLY want it that badly!

Re: your last purchases of records

funny how it goes with them represes
bought the Dogs Of War one on Electunes, which seems to be legit, it realy sux, no bottom end at all, waste of money
sound like total crap, i usualy ask around b4, but i can't find the local pressing, and i love P Desario's stuff - straight to the bin, as soon as i get an og.
yet the Methusalem repress which is probably a boot sound very good
it's the other way round when it comes to the covers btw, you can tell the dogs is good quality, comparing to the
Mthslm one

I was lucky enough to pick up the original Dogs of War LP on Generation recently, and I think the sound quality is quite good.  Your comment about the Electunes repress is the exact reason that I have a hard time spending money on bootlegs ("represses") without knowing what they sound like.  Those 30 second online audio clips can only sound so good - putting a needle to it is really the only way to know how a record sounds.

Re: your last purchases of records

just arrived today:

thee silver mt. zion memorial orchestra & tra-la-la band - 13 blues for thirteen moons (double-lp on constellation records)

as most constellation releases absolutely beautiful & lovingly produced cover artwork! i think i own more than half of their catalog either on cd or vinyl.

silver mt. zion is music for when i'm not in c-b-s mood/mode...

Re: your last purchases of records
