I just saw them last night at the Chicago Theatre. Great show, awesome stage setup! Very robot-approved projections.

At one point Alison goes backstage and Vince reeled in a reel-to-reel tape deck and places it dead center of the stage. Presses play and walks backstage too. You immediately hear the tape hiss and the track that started playing was a kick-ass update of "I Before E Except After C"! yikes

Vince also made good use of that vocoder on a number of the tracks.

Oh and we got there half an hour late thinking there would be an opening act but there was none, so keep that in mind if you plan to go.

saw them at sonar and they were simply amazing. one of the groups that got me into electronic music all them years ago.

Herman, if he would have played the same version as is on the album THAT would have been disappointing for me.

yes, of course, but i've listened to some new yazoo tracks available on vinyl and didn't like them.
it's always tricky doing such kind of updates, keeping the spirit alive in a modern way without destroying most of it.
...especially in case of being such a big number like they are/have been...
