It's like I'm hearing an Italian speaking about Italo Disco... Typical: Alles wat van ver komt is lekker so no Dutch (italo) disco? O.k. I agree on much of your points (tros kompas disco...lol!!) and we never reached peaks as in Italy or Spain but we shouldn't lower (especially as being Dutch) ourselves more than necessary. It's a thin line between the campy wipneus & pim disco and what's really worth listening to and when it comes to personal taste you can almost never agree. For instance I happen to like (besides what's already mentioned):

Ottis van Schaikseems to be an interesting guy also though I don't know a lot of his work.
Future World Orchestra - Turning Point LP <= has some nice (italoish) songs. I remember Just Matter Of Time and Captain Joke.
Big fan of (early) Michiel van der Kuy & Adams & Fleisner ofcourse: the Dutch heroes of italo disco in Holland in the 80's!

that is an extremely hard rocking track. i actually remember when it was high in the charts here.. even no 1 i think. the actual title is ''dont come stoned and dont tell trude'', a typical dutch subject matter..
