Moving to a new server

Sometime this weekend I will move the website to a new server. The site will be offline then untill everything is running smooth on the new server. Will take up to a few hours I suppose.

Hello Robots, the old 'Mercury' theme is available.
Im going to remove the themes that don't have R4R in the name at the end of this week.
Make sure you set either the R4R theme or the R4R Mercury theme in your profile settings.

Updating the forum: Forum issues

Dear robots and robettes.
As you might have noticed the forum has changed.
The forum version needed an upgrade but unfortunately not everything during the upgrade went as I wished for.
Appearently some posts got cut-off? And the themes that we were used to didnt survive the update (not support by punbb).
Im trying to get an comfortable interface but I can't do it all at once as this custom styling of .css is timeconsuming and there aren't much modules (yet) available. Or support/documentation of them. I can't do anything about the missing content. Im sorry. Stuff comes stuff goes. Next time Ill make sure to do a database backup before upgrading. Anyway, to optimize the forum as it is please post the issues your encountering with the new forum/theme here. Please make sure to post your browser type and version. (don't bother posting Internet Explorer 6 or lower issues as that software is ancient)

Because of the forum getting spammed lately I closed it until I have a better spamproof registration page.

Forum upgrades

As you might have noticed the forum has changed a bit.
Some new additions are in use or will be online soon:

Banner ads
From now one 2 banners will be visible. For now they're the same but soon banner rotation will work and different banners will appear everytime you load the site.
If you want to have your banner into the ad rotation, for your party, festival, new release etc, its possible for a fair fee.
RobotsForRobots is non profit so all money goes directly to the Hotmix foundation. Prices for placing banners will be on the site soon.

RSS feeds
As requested I've added rss to the site.
You can check it here.

Registration open again
There were some problems caused by spambots but it should be solved now by some anti-spam script.

Header rotation
This will be available soon (i guess)
Got to figure out what's the best way to do it.

Welcome to the Robots for Robots forum. This forum is a hangout for CBS-robots since the CBS-forum closed. The forum was set up by S.T.E.N.T.E.C, and is currently run by several of the mods and admins from the old CBS-forum.

We're trying to keep the same atmosphere as on the old forum: a friendly and helpful place. A little controversy is okay, but please refrain from starting flame wars, name calling or using this forum as your personal stress reliever. We won't keep as tight of a rule about controversial subjects, provided conversation stays intelligent. So there is no ban on topics like bootlegs or edits, but if it does erupt in something like on the CBS, it'll be a no-no here as well.

1. Don't expect to receive if you do not contribute. Robots for Robots.
2. Please use one alias per user. Multiple aliases only confuse things and are not allowed.
3. Use a valid email adress at any time.
4. It's okay to ask for ID's of tracks, but please don't ask for loads at the time.
5. Please don't spam the forum with advertising/promotional stuff. We are a community message board, no advertisement space.
6. Posting info that originaly has been posted on The Intergalactic FM forum in the members only viewable section(s) is not allowed. Disobeying this rule results in instant ban.

Robots For Robots

Welcome Robots & Robettes.

As we all know the www.cbs.nu radiostream is down since 20.00h 07-07-08 which is a great loss for all of us music addicts.
Tuning in on any time at any day meant good music from the (late) 70's disco era to electronic decompression from 2008 space electro sounds and all good stuff in between.
Together with the stream the forum went under what meant that apart from our favourite radio station also our homebase was gone.. So... Together with some others on the IRC chat we figured it would be nice to have a place to hang out untill a new cbs forum is up or the old one comes back or whatever will happen. Then www.robotsforrobots.net was up in short time. And it seems robots cant do without a place to hang... 200registerd user in +/- 12hours.... So thats very nice.
BUT be ware this is only a temporary forum untill more is known about the future plans of www.cbs.nu and its forum.
We'll see what happens next.
