welcome everyone!
hi everyone!
Cool the forum is back! Already full of topics and posts!
The only thing missing is a stream to play...
I presume it is temporary before the following...
I don't know what were the CBS audience statistics. Only big broadcasting companies, with FM, cable and satellite broadcasting get a simultaneous listeners average over 200. It's an average, others can get more at a given time but it stays casual. And the copyright fee to pay when you go over the average of 200 simultaneous listeners become astronomic.
Regarding statistics, for most non-profit independant webcasters, this threshold in not often reached anyway.
An online radio with 20 to 50 simultaneous listeners average is recorded by statistics as a small online radio, but which works nevertheless.
This statistic publication (in french) says also that webradios are different from FM or terrestrial radios because they involve "connecting", which is active behaviour, rather than "receiving" which is a passive behaviour. And it requires more search, initiative and effort, which is not in sync with simple entertainement.
All that to say: I do not understand the DJX decision, except if he intends doing something else.
Hello Robettes and Robots
thank you for the hospitality. Glad to have another online hideout!
Hi Robotworks!
I'm agree with you. I couldn't think that CBS cease mainly because of the lack of listeners.
So i think also that someting new is in preparation.... RDJx had made a real "dramatic" end of the stream. It's fit well with his sense of the tragedy, that is obvious also in I-F's music....
i'v got a cbs mac player for sale, anyone interested ?
as if nothing happened
