Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Went to Ikea yesterday and got me a few of their Redd shoe thingies to slightly tilt all my desktop stuff.  Quite convenient, and it stops my cats walking over them smile

A pity they had only 4 left otherwise I would have gotten a few more for the small synths on my desk, like the cz101 and dx100 and so on.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Actually its probably worse to have to tilt back your hands

CRACKED BY MR. Z...

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Maybe, but so far I think it's nice, especially on the rs7000.

midi control of not only notes and pitchbend and arp sync, but every single synth parameter! with MIDI patch dumps too... basically what europa did for the JP6, this does for the JP4.

now I just need to get it into my synth!

Nice! Do you have the CHD midi installed already? I'm definitely keen to pick one of these up. Let us know how it is. Should be amazing. Also how tricky do you reckon the install would be? I'm definitely not handy at all.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Jupiter 4 with an uninstalled Kenton midi kit and thanks to SSM v3 I've found somenone to fit the kit.  The IO kit looks really good but I got a good deal on the Kenton kit and couldn't say no.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

if you can unplug and replug a cable, you can install the CHD kit. it can't come any easier than these..

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

yes, i've been lucky regarding the price..

@Ruud, a friend of mine would love to see the "breakout box" as he's also missing the foot controller.. is it hard to build? i remember messing with that plug at the back and had no luck by just shorting some pins randomly

@PG, i've been lucky w/ the price i guess..

but after a closer look it seems that i have a strange version .. Chorus has that push/pull stereo position .. but the unit itself has only a mono jack output (unlike this one for example)

not that i really care too much
.. very happy w/ it

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

mine is also mono but the text under the width knob says 'full stereo', didnt knew there was a version with stereo out. There are also versions with overdrive instead of distortion.. And some with param.eq and delay.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@freek: maybe the output is a stereo jack on ours.. have to test that some day.

@olivier: i have to search for the pinouts.. i remember getting them from someone. its pretty simple if you don't want the lights..

yes it is, I found a double and 1 has to go.. The delay is digital (sounds really good) and the rest is analog..

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@ Koova, congrats on the Jup 4, love that machine. Did you manage to get sorted with Tim then? How much did you get the kenton for btw?

@ Rude, ha yeah I actually got my tech to install it (but he was fixing my machine as well). Was just wondering how easy the io is to install.

@ Freek, you've got mail!

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@SSM3 - half price - £160 - he'd only bought it a couple of months ago but never fitted it.  I've been in contact with Tim and now I just need to find some time to drive over to Croydon.  How much is the programmer board for the IO?

After 2 days of programming I have to admit, tilting sucks.
