Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Well you've certainly had a good week Tony.

Were those individual outs on the KR-55?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Yes I had a big gear week, now I need to sell some stuff to go unbroke.

Yes they're individual outs, my tech (Ramcur on Flickr), did both this mod along with the sync24.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Oh an, SY-2. Kinda jealous. I loved my SY-1. Very limited but amazing envelopes and makes great 70s disco basslines and leads. Also fave Portamento ever. Probably only sold it because I made so much on it. Bought it locally for $200 and flipped it for $700 US at a time when the Canadian dollar sucked.

What do you think of the 101? Liked mine the first day but found it too thin. Love my SH-09 way more.

But yeah with the modular, SH-09 and Octave Cat SRM. I'm good with monos forever and the Solina organ is good enough for the 70s stuff.

I noticed no price bragging...maybe some very good deals...

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Yeah I'm underhwhelmed by the sy-2, i'll give it more time of course.

The 101 is great because of the sequencer with transpose, I've heard the thinness comment, I can see what you mean, compared to an 09, but it can programmed to be massive too.
I got it because I love the CMU-810 but wanted the keyboard+seq.  The two together is a cool combo.

Yeah I figured I'd stop with the price bragging, but I did get all my recent gear for pretty cheap compared to eBay.

Nice!

I have a Re-101 and a Korg Se-500, but I'm still lusting over a spring+tape echo, 201 would be my first pick.

I was just after the tape echo really... but I did want the early transistor design of the 201 specifically... I turned down a few 301s and 501/555 while waiting for a decent 201 offer to come along. Was also a bit scared of shipping, so only seriously looking locally.

RE-101 or 150 would have been fine for me if I'd seen one. I've never really liked spring reverb.... but the 101 and 150 are much rarer, so I never saw one.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I think the 150 is ic based like the 301/555.

New mixer: SoundCraft Spirit M12.

oooh..... lucky I didn't get one of those, then!

it just looks like a 201 minus the reverb/eq section.

So I bought the SVC-350!
And was instantly stunned. Before that I was using the Zoom RFX-1000 and I couldn't believe the difference.
SVC-350 is just beautiful. I'm taking it out this Saturday to my band's gig.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Just bought Elka EK22 on fleamarket. It wasn't cheap (80e) but I wanted to have it.
Unfortunately 2 voices seems to be failed.
After switching it on it doesn't respond. After one minute or so everything is working.
When I turned it on and pushed 6 keys at once it works immediately, but 2 voices sounds quietly than rest of them.
Has anybody two CEM3396 for cheap?;)

EDIT:
Everything works fine! It wasn't CEM fault.
Broken contact spring in one key get stuck and system goes crazy.

Not exaggerating much when I say I never buy anything, but in the Blair Witch Quality photo here is the nice little Fostex bouncing compressor I got the other day. Mint condition.
