so I had fun last night hooking it up, and sequencing a few synths. Very cool and flexible and I haven't even begun to scratch the surface of what it can do.

I love mine, it was expensive but now I couldn't live without it.

I'm still working out the subtleties of mine.
have had great fun driving a couple of little synths the last 2 nights.

I know it can do polyphony, but more important to me than that, I'm very keen to work out if it can be used in a "paraphonic" style rather than a polyphonic style.... ie, I want 3 CVs tied together with one gate. And these 3 CVs all get the same voltage when one is playing, but as soon as a 2nd note is playing, I want CV 2 to go to the 2nd note voltage, and a 3rd note, I want CV3 to go to that voltage. Not sure that's possible, but it'd be very nice. :-)

"i really want a 106 more"

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I love old drum boxes.

I play around with the one on my Solina all the time and I got this in the mail last night and had my way with it for over 3 hours.

Mombo setting was used straight up for Congoman by the Congos. Apparenntly Kraftwerk used one too. Lots of massive dub and disco and electro sounds when you start combining the rhythms.

It doesn't have a paraphonic mode but maybe you could program a workaround in a midi processor.
Just curious do you need this for a specific machine?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I bought a 707 for $100 off the guy I bought the 202 from last week. It ain't no 808 but it's still a lot of fun and dead simple to program.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

That's all you need for simple acid music - bring that shit on!

I like the thing that the mono/poly does, but I don't have one, and I don't plan on buying one.
I am, however, going to be slowly starting a modular sometime.
And I'm more interested in paraphony than polyphony.
I guess a midi processor of some sort could do it... but it'd be much nicer to have the CV converter just do it...
:-)
