For 450 Euro it looks like a good deal. One just went for $850 US on Ebay the other day.
For me I bought a 707 for $100 off the guy I bought the 202 from a couple of weeks ago.
And I bought an instrument mixer for $300. Soundcraft Spirit Protracker. It's not here yet, it's not fancy. But for just getting instruments into the computer it's apparently a real nice sounding one. Best Soundcraft I could get on the used market for the price.

850$ for a Fizmo? ouch!
no more than 300-400 euro
a pair of Bose XL 4000
the one on the right/bottom (2 ways/2 bass-re)
50 euro

i wouldn't mind a rack mixer, especially one you can daisy-chain.. sos seemed to like it, feel free to report back on how you like the monitor section and on the sound as i'm need to sort out my monitor setup anyway. my monitors are connected to my soundcard and it's not the best way to do it now when i'm going more towards a hardware setup.
Yeah, the daisychaining factor helped as well. I can only afford to buy one now but will probably look for more in the future.
i got my eyes on the ranealso.
.. especially one you can daisy-chain..
What is daisychaining and what do you do that for?

two mixers to act as one and you get twice as many channels.
as for what im thinking, well i like the rane as it takes up no space at all and it will be enough when i'm jammin with my hardware.
for final mixing i'm probably gonna record by patching everything directly to my echo sound card and record down 8 channels at a time to seperate tracks in sonar. then either do 8 stereo stems in sonar and sum this up in something like the rane then back to sonar or tape.
if i have a hit going i will instead give the seperate tracks to a friend who will mix it for me on a neve or mci.
in other words a Lego mixer. :-)
got me one of these for 10e
For all of those wondering about the Soundcraft Spirit Pro Tracker. Wonder no more, it sounds amazing. Played around with it for an hour last night and it sounds a billion times better than my Mbox 2 Pro. That's for sure. Has a very "live" and full sound. It just jumps out at you. I'll never monitor through my Mbox 2 Pro while playing ever again.
Can you use that thing also as a soundcard?
My question too.
Apparently not : http://www.sweetwater.com/publications/ … 95_02.html
It looks like a great product though
No it's just a straight up mixer with lots of ins and outs.
Ah ok, cause all these new little mixers have built in firewire or USB, thats really handy...I was thinking of getting one of those instead of a new sound interface...cause you can do all kind of neat tricks...I guess.
a lot of times, those things only have one way or very limited 2 way connectivity. most ones i've seen don't have multiple outs, for instance, only ins.
i haven't bought much booty in a long time, but i scored this in the US:
only mine is the first black version. it needs a serious cleanup though, will visit saint eric's in not too long..
damn craigslist... just got a korg R3 and Rexer Tape echo for $700
