i finally decided to start a DIY project: i thought this should be easy enough to get a taste: Thingamakit
I ordered it with enclosure but i want to find something more unique to put it in. If i tackle that i might dare to tackle a x0xb0x...

The Thingamakit is cool and easy to assemble. Mine has a problem. One of the "eyes" is not working. I tried to find where the problem is, without any success. But it's still fine, even with this little problem

Today, I'm going to order the Drone Lab PCB. I'm dying to get my hands on this one. It sounds very Sonic Boomish.

No studio stuff, but I'm very happy with it as I have a weak spot for the older B&O stuff... 300 euro, it's really as good as new and it came with remote and the correct speakers. And the guy even threw a B&O phone in the deal smile

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Wow Rog, that one hell of a beast, that must be long and tedious restoration work!

@Brian, man I love that era, I hadn't seen that phone before.  I miss land lines and nice phones.

I though about that but the cost of airlifting C and D batteries is too prohibitive.  Also they have no weapons.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@ Roginator,

Congrats on the design of the faceplate, very well done.  There's something to be proud of when your studio has a house brand!

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Ha yeah, I got a really sweet deal on this one. I had a couple of those phones before, but they never worked well. This one finally does. And I just found out the set even plays cdr's, unlike  the NAD I used to have.

@Roginator: that is one beautiful console! What was it used for initially? Do you know anything about it's history?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@brian, with the phone in the picture it almost looks like you have some sort of archaic answering machine. smile haven't seen those old B&O's in years, same with Tony's robots!!

@roginator, super cool find, do you repair consoles too or just buy them fix them and re-sell them?
