Re: What new booty have you acquired?

More local fun.

Tama Techstar TS-305 for $100 (even though I already have one)

And just this morning a Roland SEQ-315 stereo graphic eq and a perfect shape Roland TR 55 with cover and footswitch together for $140.

Will be keeping the SEQ-315 for vintage flave but the TR 55 is probably going straight to the bay. Way too many preset drum boxes around the house and it doesn't add anything to what I've already got. If it was a 66 or 77 I may have kept it but the 55 is too limited for me.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Tapco 4400,

We finally meet, it sounds better than I expected, and I know Uni likes his a lot.  Chances are it'll replace my Tascam Rs-20 on "springy reverb" send in Ableton.
The onboard eq is pretty powerful so you can dial in just some highend shimmer, even when going straight in with say, a drum machine.

I have an Orban coming too.  I love spring reverb!

Anybody want a Tascam RS-20?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

tapco 4400 looks awesome! i'd love to hear that thing in action some time, i bet you can get some pretty wicked sounds messing with the eq's!

Nice one Tony!  I do indeed love that box.  My favorite trashy spring.

Yes you can really isolate what you want to be reverberated.

@ Uni : is it me or the racking holes are offset 1/2 rack spaces?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Hehe, it's not you.  Goofy rack ears.  It's for the best though - there are some nasty screws on the top of that box that will scratch anything you set on top of it (learned the hard way after scratching the shit out of the bottom of a Micro Modular).  Welcome to the spring reverb ghetto.  smile

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

yeah the 4400 is great, can sound very very big but also nice and gentle.. good catch!

TB or not TB

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

D50/PG1000/DW8000/TX81z(X2) FOR 110$

The two keyboards are dirty but can be saved.  This is the worst timing $wise, but it was way too good to pass up.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

That is a good score. Maybe not even that bad timing if you can use some extra cash.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

yeah, it's a good thing in the end!

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Roland DC-30 for 150€ - until i haven't found a tech who's able to repair my VRS 23 I guess this is a good derivative. It's a bit hissy and has a slightly ground hum (when you turn it up loud).

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

mono evolver keyboard pot edition upgrade kit!

it went in nice and easy, and I like the synth even more with pots on most of the parameters.

now, to replace those damn blue leds with something not so retina destroying and this thing will be perfect....
