I didn't use the previous OS so I cant really comment. But the MPC forums give OS 3.10 it the big thumbs up!

It looks old...it sounds old...because it's really fucking old! I was hoping for a decently priced EML 101 to pop up but had to settle for a decently priced EML 100 instead. I am actually enjoying it more than I thought I might reading the limited comments available, just getting the gist of the controls before I start patching things up. A lot of people complain about its 6db multimode filter but thankfully the previous owner had some mods done when restoring it including widening up that sucker to a groundshaking 12db! I'm glad he modded it seriously though. Would have been very thin otherwise. Cool package though. Was packed well. Came with original manual and patch sheets.

Yeah I will have to. Having lots of fun with it. Last night used it more as a processor whereas the first night I was synthing with it. Just had a DR-55 going through the filter and shaping the envelopes and it was dub heaven. Great in the high registers. Really loving it.

I recently got me an Epiphone Explorer (the one on the left).
So far it is great, but I will soon exchange the pickups and some other stuff with better parts.

in my old noise rock band, the 2nd guitarist bought a explorer and we constantly referred to him as "the edge", not that we totally hate the edge, but because it was funny. So he stopped playing the guitar. Musicians are sensitive people. So ends my tale.

I got this for $25, and it's probably worth twice that! Seriously though, it's better than I thought it would be, even though it uses RCAs and has some strange 3-pin PSU connector I've never seen before. It will definitely get some use.

Roland SC-7 + MPU-IPC-T midi processing unit (and a roland wall wart) almost for free..

sounds ok for a GM unit. the 808 kit sounds quite useful actually, only the rimshot is somehow "broken".. checked some SC demos, and they all had a normal proper 808 rimshot. i wonder if it's just the SC-7 that has a strange sounding 808 rimshot or is the unit somehow broken. everything else works.

anyone interested in that MPU-IPC-T unit?
