i'm waiting for it to arrive. heard great things about it, especially it's reversed delay and pitch shifting. and i think that i got it for a fair price, 45eur
that's a good price. the cheapest on ebay i saw whithin the last year went for nearly the same. i paid for mine around 60e. but anyway this is such a great tool, so much fun and so useful!
cool man, those boss 1/2 19" are all worth getting.
i'm hoping the a80 will arrive tomorrow.. i've been thinking about where to put the damn thing alex.. shaunna is okay with it, no problems there.. i'm thinking of raising my mixer a little so it'll fit under there, thats really the only place i have for it. it comes in a rolling 19 inch rack, so i can put some of my compressors and limiters in there too...
the plan is to use it both for my own recordings and some mastering work i'm doing for others, combined with some other nice vintage hardware.
i think the idea is to simply use your mixer meters as input meters on the recorder. i'll have to see how it works, but as i'm always sending out on roughly the same level, once i find the right spot it shouldn't be much of a problem. only issue can be that my master compressor/limiter isn't attached to the mixer via the inserts, but the master outs of the mixer simply go into it, so i'd have to use that metering.. we'll see.
i had no idea they went for that much money, roginator.. i'll have to see if it needs any love and attention, i'm a big believer in not changing anything if it sounds good and works well, and according to the seller guy there is plenty of high and low on the recordings it makes, which should indicate decent heads...
luckily studer has a public FTP with all the service documents of all their stuff, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem..
Ai! Mono, looks 'spensive!
For me : Poly-800 and Tr-626
I've had both before and sold them because I thought they sucked, now I know better, I'm having loads of fun with the two hooked together.
The Poly only works with batteries it seems, it there some kind of switch to use the adapter or is it broken?
If it is it's probably just a solder joint somewhere I guess.
just looking at some other pics on this account - you know, that open photo of the ebbe und flut shows it's full of SMD packaged parts...
:-)
I know it is and i still love the device.
I don't care it's designed like that.
Love the mailman http://twitpic.com/r5dpd

Yeahhh!! Much better than motu or rme or such
Filled up the eurorack case and it's not even here yet.
And so it can interact with the other beast
And bought these used from a guy on AH
Along with the Zeroscillator and the Doepfer Vocoder that comes with the case. That's gonna be some 6U I think. Will have fun with its more conventional buddy http://analogcustom.blogspot.com/2008/0 … ular.html.
PARTY in A BOX!!!!!!!!
Man i was hardly getting sleep deciding over acidlab miami or mfb 522! then this came along for $150 in awesome condition so i HAD to buy it. next step mods...
the hilarious part is the guy i bought it from was a one man band and built a footswitch with all 4 NC switches so he could do fills and such while playing his guitar. he has these letters one the buttons which correspond to songs he covers. he demoed me an old jim croce classic "you dont mess around with jim" i sang along with him and he invited me for turkey dinner. man i LOVE CL waaaay more than ebay

Oh yeah meeting people on Craigslist is the best part of it. But when you live in the middle of nowhere Ebay is a necessary evil.
@plikes btw thanks for the ebay adivce on the busted sh-101, made him refund the money through paypal even though he didnt offer returns in ebay. i only lost 15 bucks shipping! yeah ebay is totally a necessary evil, when i have the urge there it is. with CL its totally random
and also got these:
AND
i have a feeling the tr727 wont get much use and i wont get more headway on my DR-110 mods since i got the cr8000 and some kool FX!
sid sammich kit showed up today! Did just the resistors tonight. going to try and finish it this weekend.
done!
it's only really a couple of hours work to build, and has some cool sounds going on. The sid-less version is a killer deal if you already had some sids spare like I did.
though the control surface is really cramped. I'm so hanging out for my chinese LEDs to show up so i can finish my 6582, which is 4x the sammich sid, plus a decent control surface...

he he, great story.
Congrats with the cr-8000, it sounds fantastic, but a bitch to program.

the pitch shifter section does not work from the panel, but it operates with external keyboard control...
delay works fine.
don't know if i should return it to the seller or try to fix it on seller's expence...
ah that's shit - the intuitive use of the knobs is the pleasure of this unit (for me).
