Re: What new booty have you acquired?

It sounds like a bit crusher when you have the VCO MOD slider open all the way. I like it when it does that, by the way. The split mode is so you can split the keyboard in half, assingning a different voice to each side, also via midi. This makes the AX-60 a very powerful unit as far as i'm concerned. It does sound like you have problems if it'll autotune for 20 minutes

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I'm going to get a SuperJX-10 in the next week.. price should be really low (around $100) because it seems that
it has some defects, like a broken VCA or so. But the owner doesn't have any knowledge about electronics, so..
it can be anything big_smile

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

oh, and while waiting for the JX10, just got me this:

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

alex, where are you going to keep it all?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

actually it is becoming an issue - for keyboard synths, not for rack mount stuff...
but I think I will look into a multilevel keyboard stand or one of those fancy Ikea shelves...

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Novation Launchpad ... arrived thursday ... allows for some nice jamming

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I got one too recently. Haven't opened it yet though. Too busy.

Got it brand new for $150. Sometimes putting in a best offer is worth it on Ebay.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

I'm curious to read what you think of the Launchpad, I'll probably pick one up soon.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Just grabbed a Kawai R100 off Ebay for $60. Pads apparently a little sticky but everything's fully functional.

I'm excited. Cheap, and I've wanted to have a go at one of these for awhile. Tons of trigger and sync options too.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Nice price.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

kawai r-100,  my buddy morrie (dj marnicle) has one. super 80s punchy industrial/pop/new wave/dark wave type of sound. I think it can only do one kind of sync at a time (so no doing like a 707 midi and sync at the same time!)

the sequencer is not so amazing (step write only?) but i really liked the pad feel. Marnicle seq r-100 from mpc-1000 and made a few dance/pop/techno hits.
