Not sure if it's really inspired but I see some relations between Neubauten's Richterskala and New Deutsch compy:

Lucio Robo's pics are definitely Goya, and z900/QoB's seem to be inspired by Goya as well...

so the narziss guy is by goya? but it doesn't look like it is by him! hm, i was always wondering who did that painting...
edit: ah, it isn't... it's by caravaggio! should have known this because of the light... oh, and you should have known this too, no?
This fits in the series where Queen and Freddy Mercury were cooperating a lot in reviving old SF-classics like Metropolis and Flash Gordon. I even remember sawing an musicvideo by Sparks back in the days (Beat The Clock or Number One Song In Heaven?) with footage of Fritz Lang's Metropolis... Can't find anything on youtube though. Maybe it only excists in my mind... Could be that I'm confusing this with Freddy Mercury's - Love Kills (?) (also a Moroder-production).

Queen also used a lot of Metropolis footage for the 'Radio Ga-Ga' clip.

@QoB:
Yep, Caravaggio all along schatzi...later to be sort of reused by Dali too!
Edit: The Goya influence I pointed out before was meant for the z800 'Spoils Of War' sleeve...
