Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

I always wonder what the title of that album by Zombie Nation "Leichenschmaus" means. Something you can eat?

They "pardodied" that Kernkraft 400 from the computergame Lazy Jones if you didn't know:

Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

There was an album "Leichenschrei" (which stands for Scream of a corpse or something) by SPK, so I guess "Leichenschmaus" means something of a corpse as well, and maybe SPK was an inspiration btw.

edit: schmaus = feast

Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

Having lunch (?) after a funeral with all those attending the funeral, that's what's meant by Leichenschmaus.

Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

Ah ok, it means funeral feast, yeah.

ja, lekker... especially if a family member is filming you at the leichenschmaus after your uncle's funeral and telling you
(while the daughter of your uncle is standing next to you): hey, who knows who will be next!

@Queen
You experienced that or are you imagining situations like that now? 8-D Brings a new perspective to the eating after a funeral for me, anywayz.

Nice one on the Clockwork Orange b.t.w.

Nobody knows when his/her time has come to answer your family's member question (he/she could be next too!). You still got that film recording? Made him/her the hero of the family...NOT!

Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

Gotta ask:
Is this Danny Boy (pic from http://www.demonfuzz.com/then_now.htm, referred to earlier in this topic)
http://www.demonfuzz.com/Cover%20covers/DannyBoyRepper.jpg
the guy who teamed up with the Serious Party Gods?

If so: His suspenders and the edges of that cover somehow predicts what to come in the Castro Boy lyrics smile

Violets are blue,

Re: Inspired artwork for sleeves/labels

@ Scarface
of course, nobody knows... and the family doesn't meet that often. so he thought it would be nice to take a little video.
but a leichenschmaus is definitely the wrong time and place to do it. especially when the daughter of the dead guy is super down.
and, no... i don't have the vid and i never saw it, because i don't have any contact to the guy who did it!

Reminds me of the family on my father's side. When my grandfather died (my grandfather/his wife died earlier) my brother told me before we went to the funeral: "Pay attention, cause this will probably the last time you see most members of this family." True, my grandfather was the last binding factor of my dad's family and I only see one uncle my dad is still friends with, regulary after that. Oh, family we're getting way off topic... wink
