Re: your last purchases of records

Nice List as well!
I'm also still amazed that I found the Lovables 12"
When I played it the first time, it had some crackles (it didn't look dirty) but then I cleaned it in the Knosti machine and now it plays perfect. So after all there hasn't been an adder under the grass wink
I must say there's not a single disappointment amongst the records I bought. Neither music-wise, nor quality of the records, only the Tim Blake Record still has a few crackles after cleaning, but it's not terrible.

How was was second day of the fair?
Did you find Hard Corps the second day? I really like that song.

Re: your last purchases of records

Second day was good but I think the first day was better. Found the Hard Corps the second day. Only knew the band but not the song so I had to listen on my portable. It's a great track, yes. Don't know Hard Corps that well, anything else you can recommend from them?

I'm "fixing" some records here also. Glueing some lamilating sleeve, giving some innersleeves for records that don't have one, taking the dust off etc. Lime - Take The Love had lots of dirt-splatter on the frontsleeve but could remove easily with some soapwater and toiletpaper. After the first day I found that Betty Miranda - Dance record was heavily warped so I took it  back with me on sunday to try and swap it for a better copy at the french "italostand". It wasn't a problem for them luckily and there were still better copies.

Still listening what I actually bought. I know most ofcourse but some I just listened shortly on my portable or on internet.  Some pleasant "surprises" in there and no real disappointments or well, that MDMC I'm listening again now and I would give it 3/5 now (but maybe it will grow on me later ;-).

Re: your last purchases of records

Lucky Charm of Hard Corps is great I think:
Really like this live version:

This is the 12" version I have, which is also very nice:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-yV-z18X8U
there's a french version 'Porte Bonheur' on the back
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTz13av-afs

I never found other records, heard some stuff via the web, but don't know that too well to be able to recommend more.
