Re: your last purchases of records

Not buying a ton of records lately but I've wanted this one for a long time.

http://www.discogs.com/release/1304944 (Vocoder-Vocoder LP)

Paid 40 Euro. Came in absolutely perfect shape (other than the glue drying at the seam a bit) with awesome press sheet and cool book (about 10 pages) about the album and Vocoder. Super score.

The album is very good kinda like a synthier, funner Spanish version of Matia Bazaar. Parts of it are poppier than the earlier singles but "Hacker" and the lush and spacey instrumental "Radiotelescope" would be the faves of most people here.

Won't be buying many records for a while until I sell some stuff and fill up my american dollar paypal account. Canadian dollar is terrible right now and it's basically 2 dollars to 1 Euro for me right now. May reprice my records in half in Euro and get a Euro accout going.

But even then shipping to Canada is so expenisve.

Oh well, I will enjoy Vocoder for the time being.

Fantastic grab on that, congrats!  I was lucky enough to find it for ~$12 earlier this year, but you've got me beat - awesome LP, enjoy it!

I opened this the second I got it, I've wanted to play it far too long to leave it sealed.  The only records I keep sealed are ones I don't plan on playing -> typically spare copies or ones I plan to sell.
