Re: your last purchases of records

in bern, yesterday, shop is called oldiesshop, very close to the station.
I stopped buy records on ebay or discogs, so I have to content myself with what I found.

edit: to be honest I never bought any records on ebay and only very few on discogs
edit 2: I think internet is WAAAAY OVERPRICED. I would never spend so much money for a record. And that's way my collection is so shabby. Collection... I'm no collector, I play them when they ask me.

Re: your last purchases of records

i see your point. i'm not really proud of the amount of cash i have uploaded to the internet in the last 2 years or so for the odd hard-to-find record. i've found some alternatives now, like ungreedy collectors who will make you a fair price even for rarer gems. thus far i've only found one. there's others, sometimes also old time djs of the sort that will tell you each and ever goddamn italo record they wanna sell is rare this and rare that. with those i usually just lurk for the few records about which they have no idea what they fetch on ebay and bargain like a moroccan camel driver.

Re: your last purchases of records

I'm doing so, go recordshops that sells other stuff (like blues rock), or flomi. Perhaps, once a year, you find something... smile

Re: your last purchases of records

true true! i do that too but find it rather ineffective. i've recently raided about a dozen "brockis" between sion (vs) and saignelegier (ju) and the best find i found was probably cyber people - polaris. oh and the realization that there must be at least one "brocki"/pseudo antique shop for every ten inhabitants of la-chaux-de-fonds. they're everywhere!

and not to forget: it's fun poking around in these places.

Re: your last purchases of records

garcons - french boy 12"
el deux - gletscher (disco mix) 12"
time - selling song 12"
rockets - sound of the future LP

Re: your last purchases of records

Can you please tell me is El Deux 7" any good or even throw some samples? I'm able to grab it but never heard it..

lärm macht spass!

Suicidal is a very exciting record indeed, and you'll find it, though it will taker longer (maybe too long) for a price like 9euro. The records you found are not to be underestimated. Enjoy what you have.

Re: your last purchases of records

smile, always the same isn't it? the grass is greener on the other side. When I'll find amin then there would me one that will interest me more.

wow, still looking for that one
how is the remix compared to the original?

sorry for the late reply, must have missed that one: I can't remember, but the too tracks are not that different, otherwise i guess i would have noticed. But i'll give it a spin after work and check up on it smile

and the other stuff i'm definately gonna spin is what arrived from clone today:
novamen/lies,
galaxy toobin,
aube 005,
rude 66/as,
tyrell/ventura on moustache,
the gladio repress on mighty robot
AND:Loud-E's edits on the new ambassador's reception label big_smile

Re: your last purchases of records

Nice find for a quickdig, that Lama. The remix has some additional arrangements that makes it somewhat fuller than the original on Numero Uno, I'd say. Like them both equally.
