Re: your last purchases of records

@Jogi
The song is actually quite nice. Not a total undiscovered gem, but not bad at all. I recorded the record and converted it here:
http://w7.media-convert.com/omzetten/in … d=monfahrl
It can be used for one day, it's the first time i recorded something an converted it to mp3, so I don't know if it's the best quality, but at least it can be heard.

This Primadonna indeed sounds good. I already had the zyx pressing but I didnt compare them closely yet.

Re: your last purchases of records

@narcisco

thx for sharing this one !

Is there also an instrumental version on the other side ?

Re: your last purchases of records

There's not a instrumental. On side B there's dream (vocal version) which is very similar, but slichtly different. So both versions have vocals, but the version on side B is a bit longer. I'll record this one later when I have time for it.

Re: your last purchases of records

@narcisco

much thanks for the sample.

to be honest: i like it anyway, nice catch.
its already on my wantlist. smile

about the song and "Stage" as artists name:
i think this "Stage" is totally different to the
well-known Stage (Masala - Causin).

using the same name is not untypical for
this time.
many projects are independently from each other
although they used the same artists name.

Re: your last purchases of records

In the second handshop this afternoon:

Rinder & Lewis - Warriors (AVI Records, original pressing)
Torrevado - Living In The Shuttle (on American Disco)

It's not as great as the first one but still nice and it has more kinda spacey feel, lots of phasers etc.

back on topic: today the postman brought a long-awaited Cabaret Voltaire package from eBay with the french 12" of Nag Nag Nag and a 1986 re-issue of 2x45 with different sleeve. Kool!

I think this record is pretty good. My favourites are 'Mysterious Galaxy'  'Laser Illuminations' and 'Photofinish'. If they sell it  for a fair price I wouldn't hesitate. I found it somewhere in Holland, where it's more rare to find than in Berlin I think, which probably has something to do with the DDR-Sovjet connection. At least, that's what I thought when I saw quite some copies of Disco Alliance in Berlin. The cover of music of the universe is indeed very nice. Too bad I saw the Music From The Films record the last weekend I was in Berlin but didn't have enough money for it. It wasn't that cheap, but still.

Last Record I bought:
Napalm Death - Mentaly Murdered mlp

it's a double lp bootleg with their best tracks, i payed 15-18 euro on Ebay (incl shipping)

THE SOUND - PERMANENT DOUBLE 180G LP
CAT #KODE 15 548 372 JAPANESE FAN CLUB PRESSING 1993

This is an awesome compilation of some of the best known tracks of this forgotten British indie rock band which drew lots of similarities between Echo and the bunnymen and Joy Division. This is a reissue of Japanese Fan Club promo from 1993, we have been able to get some copies and its a must for anyone who has searched for this great music. Unfortunately there has been nothing in print on vinyl from this band since the mid 80s and anything from the band always sells for serious dollars on ebay etc. These recordings are fantastic and the sound quality is excellent. Only a handful left dont miss out. Contains tracks from the first 5 releases, "Jeopardy", "From the Lion's Mouth", "Shock of Daylight", "Heads and Hearts", "All Fall Down" and beautiful artwork also.
