Musically & artistically the best time they've ever had...
And Dave was sooo "faithful" at this time - he doesn't sung the songs, he lived them!

What I don't understand about all those critics: What do you expect a depeche album to be?? I really don't understand what's the big problem the most of you have with the new album?? If you heard depeche in the past and like it, the new record shouldn't surprise or dissapoint you that much - it's just depeche MODE. It's absolutely not sooo different (especially not worse) than the old stuff. It's electronic (even though it has not the high sound-standard as in the early days, when Alan Wilder was in the band), it's a bit sad, it's Dave's voice, nice melodies which take a while to finally stuck in you mind, nice lyrics etc.
What's so much different to the old stuff? Really a bit ridiculous the crtitcs sometimes...
The only thing that really sucks is the lame setlist of the tour -> every f**king tour the same state news, the same old hits... I really can't stand Personal Jesus, Never let me down again, I feel you, Enjoy the Silence, Policy of truth and every other track they played a zillion times live, no more.
Moreover they played too few tracks from Sounds of the Universe.
Best live song for me was: Fly on the windscreen & Peace!

We are happy to announce that Nitzer Ebb will be opening up for Depeche Mode on the Tour Of The Universe. Nitzer Ebb will start their support slot on January 9th, 2010, in Berlin, and continue until the end of February.
have never seen nitzer ebb, so this is nice.

saw them already but it's never enough! still..nitzer ebb in 20000 capacity arena haha seems crazy but love the idea. 14.2 
Saw Nitzer Ebb once when they were here (two or three years ago I think). First half of the gig I stood in the corner with my beer and thought "oh, another boring evening" but finally found myself in slamdancing with the crowd shouting out loud "murderous" and "join in the chant".
wonder what Nitzer Ebb's new album will sound like (whenever it comes out)...the Fixmer/McCarthy thing sucked (imo)
